About me
Javier Ramírez-Carril is a Venezuelan documentary photographer and photojournalist whose work explores people, places, memory, and the stories that shape communities.
His relationship with photography began in his early twenties and evolved from a fascination with the image into a commitment to documentary storytelling. After living and working between Venezuela, Argentina, Panama, and the United States, photography became a way of understanding the places he inhabited and the people he encountered.
He formally studied photography at the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Fotográficos (CIEF) in Venezuela, following earlier studies in Buenos Aires. His work has appeared across Venezuelan media and through international image agencies.
His documentary work explores Venezuelan traditions, everyday life, identity, and social change. Today, he continues working from Florida, developing personal projects and visual stories across the United States and Latin America.
